Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme

This grant funding is open to domestic electric vehicles owners to help cover the cost of EV charge point installation. For a single EV charging point, the grant offers a contribution of up to 75%, up to the cost of £350. To qualify for the grant, you must be the owner or leaseholder of an electric vehicle that is eligible under the scheme, have off-street parking and use an accredited installer. A household can claim up to two charge point grants.

How to qualify for the OZEV EVHS grant

You may qualify for the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme if you meet the following criteria:

  • Your electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle is on the eligible vehicles list
  • Your property has off-street parking such as a garage, driveway, or allocated parking space.
  • You have taken keepership of a new or second-hand eligible vehicle or have ordered an eligible vehicle (proof required)
  • You are leasing an eligible vehicle for at least six months.
  • Company vehicles – you have been assigned a company car for at least six months OR
  • Have leased the vehicle as part of a salary-sacrifice scheme.
  • You have not previously claimed for the same vehicle.

The grant offers up to £350 off the cost of purchasing and installing an electric vehicle charge point. You can claim for one electric vehicle charging point per eligible vehicle, and up to two electric vehicle charge points per household.
